from my recollection the FW03 uses the same wheel/hex as the HPI super nitro. you should still be able to find some available a la ebay. FW04 was when they changed to kyosho's wheel/adaptor and will not fit.

Hi'all
I'm looking for the 3-Speed Clutch Bell made by FORM RACING of Japan for the Kyosho Superten FW-03/FW-04.
This optional part is the last one on my list to upgrade my Red Bull RB7 made by Kyosho for the DeAgostini fascicle collections company.
Its code reference is "NH34-4", but I also am looking for its spacers; "NH34-6".
Here is a picture of it;

Hope any one of you people can help me
Cheers!

Recently acquired a FW03 competition II car. Can anyone give me some good info on this?. I assume it's a bit like a Tamiya TRF version?

Bump for an old thread.

I am rebuilding a very nice FW 04. What is the reason for the different colors of plastics? Some have a brown tint and others a blue tint. Any help is much appreciated.

I am also looking for a set of Tires for a FW 04 Superten. Please let me know if you have some available. Thanks.

Just aesthetics I guess. The early FW04 had brown parts, the later models had a dark bluish/black hue to it.

obviously the plastic colors doesnt have any difference in materials or quality,, i have both brownie and black.
for the tires, its kind a hard to find one, u can mods ur wheels, so the wheels have a flat surfaces and you can use any foam donuts (trimmed as necessary).

If you could find FW04 wheels, get two sets. Toss away the wide rears wheels.

Buy HPI Super Nitro RS4 tires (still available, but not the nice compounds). Mount those tires on the front FW04 wheels, they fit right on. You can use the front FW04 wheels for both front and rear.

Great suggestions! Thanks for the help. I love the look of the staggered wheels, but I may have to take your recommendation.
Too bad this was never a popular class. The cars are great looking.

Great thread on this car. I picked one up at a garage sale a year or so ago, and finally getting around to fixing it up. Wondering if anyone has these parts - as I have had a heck of a time locating.

1 - Wheel bolts / Wheel stopper bolt (part fz-72)

2 - Gas tank O-ring : Old one looks pretty ragged. Can a regular black o-ring from hardware work, or does it need to be orange due to fuel contact?

3 - Shock oil: Want to clean up the shocks and put some new oil in them -any idea of weight oil I should use? Manual does not list.

Additional information I am trying to figure out as I am new to the nitro aspect. The manual for the car says .15 engine. Should I keep it at that size engine, or can I go bigger? Also, thinking about a 2-speed kit. Not sure if I should do this due to the gears (no idea if plastic gears were used in these cars, or perhaps metal) - dont want to strip them out and then be out of a car.

Thanks everyone!

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone with experience in running OS. FS26S C FW03/04 could comment on some of the questions that I have:

1. The 4 cycle fitting kite (FZW30) comes with 20/24T pinion gears. Why is it that FW04 requires 41/37T spur gear while FW03 requires 43/39T?

2. What combination of spur gears for FW03 and FW04 would be required for a pinion gears combination of 21/25T?

Thanks in advance and any insight on these would be immensely appreciated!
