The Kyosho DBX VE is a true 1/10 truggy (just happens to have a buggy body on it) and handles great. If you keep the buggy body, it fits within ROAR 1/8-buggy rules too so you could race in 2 classes (if a 1/10 truggy/ST class ever opens up...I hope so too). There's also the TTR Sparrowhawk XXT which is more a Stadium Truck since it lacks a center diff, but if a 1/10 truggy/ST class were to form, I don't think we should get into the nitty gritty details. I do find it more fun recently to run my DBX vs. my 1/8 truggies due to less problems, lightweight, ease of transport, etc. But I still love 1/8-scale.

I signed up for several websites that carried the pre-order of the Vorza.
I got notices yesterday that they were in stock. Each website has a very limited quantity.....

Kind of worries me since my wife is supposedly buying this for me for Christmas. I hope she gets on the websites soon.

As soon as someone gets 1 of these can you please let me know what material the upper steering brace is made of? Alum or plastic please?

Its plastic. the rounded raised edge, the raised HPI outline letters on the top, can't do that with aluminium easily.

$549.95!! I won't have the money until next Friday (not this one coming) at the earliest. NOOO! At that price... I am getting it!! It wins by being $150-200 cheaper than the hyper 9e, and $50-100 cheaper than the Ve8.

I had nitro before, this is the first large scale and brushless electric and lipo. So my nimh and charger need upgrades. so money is important. I need to buy at least 2 batteries (4s 5000mah) and a good balance charger as well.

$550 is the best price out there and I believe shipping is only $15 - $20.

At this point there is still 1 in stock, 3 sold from Stormer Hobbies in the past two days, who is going to grab the last?

I sent an email out to Stormer just to check how quickly they would be able to re-stock, here's what I got:

We're not sure. It says there are some on order. Gonna be REAL close to Christmas when they get here. I'd say it's a "toss-up"

Absolutely, I'm getting my proline city block and caliber tires and I made a setup chart based on D8 setups found on the web. I can't wait to get out there in the spring to tear up the track with this buggy.

It's based on the D8/Ve8 platform so it should be a great competitor.

This is a race car, HB just threw a cheapo radio and servos, a painted body and built it to get new guys to buy big power. Its durable enough to bash by far but set up the suspention and esc right and toss the body and put your transponder in. If I didnt have esc's and motors already I would have either bought 1 of these or kept the D8 I already converted.

What servo would you upgrade to? I thought this high torque servo was a good servo to use (no need to upgrade).

What bodies can you recommend?

I'm already grabbing a DX3 radio to swap out.
