Default RCTECH's TOP 10 RULES for Racing Etiquette

Lets do this ...

Make a list of 10 rules that will help new racers starting in our sport .
Finally give them something to help guide them in learning how to race and have more fun ...

When we are done ?

Everyone can print & post a copy at our local race facilities
helping mass new racers

*just to start things out with a example or suggestion

Driver Stand Etiquette

No leaning , hanging or blocking the racers view next to you .
Drivers will enter the stand for the main in qualifying order.
No yelling , language ect..

Note : will need someone to make a nice hard copy of best ten.

Mine would be to have fun, realize we're racing toy cars, not to be a crybaby of something goes wrong, and to have fun.

Good post. Here's one....

No matter how good you think you are, start at the bottom and announcer will let you know where to race in what group.

I hate it when the marshal who is standing in the spot addressed to your incident is watching the race or messing with the phone.

I can do the most awsome job ever, but when the marshal isn't in position or paying attention to do anything about it, somebody is going to leave the drivers stand unhappy.

Being a better marshal makes your racing better, I swear!

If you're car is being marshalled, have the courtesy to stay off the throttle until you're back on 4 wheels. I've got a mouthful of dirt more than once. I don't flip 'em over anymore if they're still on the throttle.

Umm I got a good one to go along with the Marshall one.. But need to find out a better way to state it I will put it out there you guys reword it..

Treat others how you want to be treated
Kinda meaning like if someone needs to borrow a tool just let them borrow it. Wouldn't you want them to let you borrow it..

Or how about:

Always keep things how you found them or in better conditions
(like pit spaces and garbage's)

1. Be ready for your race.
2. If you wreck somebody whom you are racing and its your fault, wait for them at least 3 seconds and resume the battle. Saying "sorry" helps keep racers happy.
3. Watch your corner when marshalling, not the race. Its easy to anticipate wrecks if your on your marshalling game.
4. keep your body behind the edge of the drivers stand. Only thing that should go past is your radio and hands.
5. No whining on the drivers stand.
6. Race announcer needs to call/inforce penalties. No begging for calls. Didn't see it, didn't happen.
7. Drivers who hit throttle before marshall sets it down get docked a lap or set on its roof.
8. Must use gear cover.
9. Clean language.
10. Marshalls dont fix broken cars, spectators do.

Had this happen to me couple of weeks ago. If the marshal is trying to get to your car to put you back on the track dont keep trying to jump the tube and move away from said marshal. I will not chase your car to marshal it. Also Dont go full throttle before you car hits the ground after being marshaled. I really hate getting a face full of dirt while i am still bent over your car. No yelling at the marshals. They might not be watching the race, just looking at another part of their area. And its not their fault you crashed. Even if you got taken out its still not their fault. Race clean. Have fun.
