i run a 4.5 turn motor, timed and boosted, in a touring car and the car flies down a straight away. gearing has a lot to do w/ top speed. make sure you put a fan on the esc and motor to keep things cool.
Thank you

The problem with the 'scale looks' is that the real F1 cars change constantly (look at the 103 vs. the 104). I think it would be a good idea if there was some standard open wheel class that was more stable.

People are always going to tinker and try to improve things. That is part of all forms of racing. The only way to prevent that is to have some sort of spec chassis but that is just as bad because people get tired of the restrictions and lack of diversity and stop racing due to that. Either way you will always have cycles of growth and decline. It is a natural thing.

that Serpent is an interesting car if you want to tune it. Replace the front wheelaxle by the S100/120 one, put a Pan car rear axle/hubs and you got a very fast F1 with Pan car Tires or a WGT with the right body on it.

I'm suffering from torque steer. It's quite severe. Front wheels free wheel fine. Ball diff is normal. The side pod connectors are set loose so that they move freely against the pivot balls.
I tightened the connectors just to try. It's better but the torque steer was still there. I did that because the pod was moving left and right a little bit. It removed the play but I guess it creates binding.
It's definitely because of tweak. When I lift the front to check droops in the front, Left always lifts first no matter how much I screw in the right side set screw.

Why are there two threads for this car anyway? Do we use this one or the other?

This site is AMERICAN and the other is AUSTRALIAN both will give you answers. If in AUSTRALIA ask there as it gives you answers for AUSTRALIAN conditions such as temps and tyres as the US has different track surfaces temps just makes it easier to relate

I don't know if you have the same thing but when I asked around, I was told that I can't just gun it because it will torque steer. Is your car same? I managed to get TQ and 1st in final today in club race but I had to accelerate slowly and put -100% expo on throttle to make it tamed. Thinking of solution in bed, I think too soft dampening or spring in center can cause that. Please advise.
