Nice to open a topic about this. I Just switch from Xray X1 to the Velox.
First runs on asphalt were not too bad :really to drive at least.
First race on carpet in a couple of weeks. Some advice ? What about front springs ?

hey denis,
sorry for the late reply.
For the high grip ETS carpet we have in europe we use the standart blue side springs and the soft shepherd front springs to smooth out the car.
As the formula cars are quite sensitve to grip level its hard to give you a good basic setup without any more informations about the track (grip level, carpet and size). feel free to ask for more help

Hey guys, we have a new optional part for the F1
The new optional ackermann-lever made of high grade 7075 T6 aluminium allows for a finer adjustment of the ackermann position and at the same time improves the rigidity of the steering linkage. The set is also available in black (#127302B) from now on.

Nice, looks like a page from 1:8 IC 4wd.
I wanted to ask can the car be run 200mm foam, and is there a front end conversion to do so. Thank you.

Hello, as the class is driven on rubber tires and thats what the cars are designed for there is no conversion kit.

Hey guys,
we have updated our floating piston #811304 for our Shepherd Velox cars.
With the help of an additional o-ring the new floating piston completely prevents any possible tilt of the piston inside the shock absorber resulting in a 100% leak-free operation even when using our super-soft floating piston spring #811335 during long race weekends.
The new 2017 floating piston will be include in next batch of car kits.
As a direct replacement the piston is also available separately.

I do not know How to upload a scan of setup sheet.
My car was not so far from kit setup :
- 6° caster / 2° camber / 0° toe-out / 1.5 xray spring (waiting for white shepherd to test it)
- blue velox side spring / 20k on side damper
- carbon chassis plate + pod

A new nice weekend at 2nd race of French championnship. The Velox was good. A-main and 5th overall result.
Only difficulties on braking to keep the car on Line. Any suggestion ?

You can try to use a higher "brake frequency" i.e. 64hz on your ESC, this makes for a softer engage of the brake and can help avoid to spin the car. In general you can only use very little brake with a F1 car.
