I have been using ko products for 15+ years. I haven't yet tried the new ex-1. (Still rocking a Helios comp on 27mhz, lol) I have tried a 4pks and it was very nice. I still prefer my KO. Smaller receivers, and my old 27mhz ko seemed just as quick response wise.

My best friend has a ko eurus, and it's the first radio I've used that actually felt quicker than my helios.

So in my opinion, if the ko is comfortable in your hands, then that's the way to go.

KO.

Purely because the receivers are tiny - half the size of the futaba 614

However, they are fairly expensive and on my EX10 with the same rx (kr411) CH3 and CH4 are only available in the slowest latency mode. Nobody in the EX1 thread will answer me with regards to this on the EX1, so it's probably the same. Not a big deal, but a bit disappointing.

Both are awesome radio's. KO Is a lot heavier and top heavy as well. 3D trigger and wheel are awesome on it though!

Menu's on futaba are easier to navigate and the balance is much much better...lighter too. Futaba 614 receivers are not that much larger. Sure the foot print is but the KO is twice as tall. Weight is pretty close to the same I think on the receivers.

In the end either will more than exceed your expectations. Choose the one that easiest for you to get, fits your budget and your most comfortable with. A radio is probably the single most expensive thing you'll buy in RC.....

Futaba is an excellent radio- i own a 4pk, and KO is as well. I did get to hold the new KO radio, and the feel is super solid. Can't go wrong with either

The KO is heavier? Really? I figured running on 4 AAA batteries it would be pretty light.

I'm holding off on the decision till I can fondle both and decide which I like better.

Yea it was heavier to me. Really top heavy but I know they are working on something to balance it out better.

You'd think they would have figured that out at some point before selling it to customers.

I love my Eurus.

Maybe so...but I am sure most are not as picky as me.

I ran the KO Helios for years. Only thing that got me to change brands was the 4PK. No complaints at all about the Helios, just loved the way the 4PK felt in my hands.
