How much does the 966 weigh out of the box? I have not had a chance or a way to weigh the car yet, but was wondering how people bring their car up to legal weight(assuming it's light). I have noticed several weight options that Serpent offers...brass battery tray, brass weight mounted to radio mount and the 50g block that hangs off the right side of the car. I run a lipo rx pack as well, what would best balance the car?

2512 grams with a nicely painted body (not too thick of a paint job) and a set of trued tires, complete with electronics, engine and pipe set.

South Australia - IC Champs this weekend, Australia's best of the best will be down to compete in what will be a great event.

Today little rain delayed some practice but many did get a few laps in for test and tune.

There is our local boy Pattojnr running his 966 & 720 should be good to see what he does at Littlehampton Raceway in South Australia.

Just uploading video of some testing please be patient.

Cheers
Frankie
P.S - keep link bookmarked shall have some more updates as the weekend gets close!

Anyone have any impressive videos to show generally 1/8th scale cars racing. I want to see the real power and speed of these cars. I checked youtube. But the results are not very specific. But i want high quality or even high definition ones. Send me a link if u have a favourite

Default Serpent 966

Here are a few photos of some New Rear end parts I made.
I tested them on my 960-08 & they seem to work Great!!
I am mounting them on one of my 966 brushless chassis. very light & verry strong. Plus check out my new upper arms

Default left and right balance

Hi,
Unless something wrong with my suspension...anyone notice that the car is heavy toward the pipe side ?

Reason i said this is that i stripped suspension to ensure non binding, checked pins are straight, shock oil, lenght and rebound, pivot ball etc etc......BUT still left end rear shock collar is a turn or two more than right !
was thinking of adding weight brass/lead to counterbalance it.

cheers
