Ha Ha!.....I`m only trying to help-out the guys at the Hobby Shop. They did a few special orders for me; so this is just a small Favor.

If anyone needs the parts; just give them a call.

Hi, I have 2 pro3's that have the hpi cf flat chassis' and penguin front, rear, and center braces on them. I have trf shocks on one and the regular hpi shocks on the other one. I also have a newer tc that I am trying to get to be as consistant as the 3. I also find it amusing that a thread about a car that's been out of production for a few years and was deemed non-competitive, is more active than a lot of the newer car threads.

Hey.....This spot was DEAD for Over a Year until I put some info out to sell a few parts for a Hobby Shop.

It could be alive now.

Everyone I know that had a Pro3 really liked the handling, very forgiving and very easy to drive 95% fast.

But it maybe lacked that extra 5% as standard. And that was mostly down to suspect component quality and excessive chassis flex.

I still believe that the layout was fundamentally a good one. I'd rather see more people recreating this design than going down the tedious TRF415-alikes the market is full of at the moment (yes I know the JRXS is out there but that hasn't been a real success to date either).

I`m a Shaft Drive R.C. Car Guy.....I don`t like Belt Drive. . . . .But you`re right; just about every Electric R.C. Car Company is on that same layout.

The Pro 3 was on it`s own style(somewhat.....remember the Tamiya TA04?).

They were different.....? I`ve thought they were somewhat simular.....(you Pro 3 guys would know more about the Pro 3 than me). I don`t know about the Pro 3(I have a Pro 4); but I`ve had a TRF TA04 SSG.

I LOVE my Pro 3. It's such a forgiving car to drive...and so consistent...especially in low-grip conditions (like parking lots, for instance). Too bad parts are getting difficult to get nowadays...and the parts quality are suspect... Other than that the only design flaw of the car is just that it doesn't have droop screws. Someone should re-mold the Pro 3 with newer composites...I miss the days when I can buy a parking lot-ready car for $200 (like the Pro 3, after the revisions to the arms and diffs), without buying ANY hop-ups...

They sure were different. the pro/pro 2 series were similar to the ta04, but the pro 3 was totally different, looks similar to the new losi type r though.
