the ex-1 and m8 are both AUS$590 and the 3pjs is AUS$900 (but with 2 servos)
US price is half that.
i dont like the 3pj because its on 29mhz and the others are on 40mhz which here in OZ is better, less glitching plus all 40mhz are on FM with the rarest one on AM but none here in sydney as far as ive seen.
so for now, its between the m8 and ex-1 but ive decided to go for the ex-1.
