TIRES..... TYRES.....TIRES.....

I know everyone has been waiting for the announcement of our choice. Well the wait is over.

The Official tire of the 2008 Reedy Race of Champions will be.....................

Sorex 36 compound mounted on SpeedMind rims.....

I want to thank Peter and Annie from SpeedMind for helping us ensure that the quantity of tires will be available and arrive in time.
As well as Billy and crew for doing the testing.

Billy has plenty of these tires in stock at Speedworld.

Hotel info unfortunately I am still waiting for the confirmation numbers from the hotel. They assured me I will have it on Monday.

Thanks again for everyone's patience

Scotty

Thanks,
Scott,
The rings must stay on the motor, this keeps it fair for the motors that do not have removable rings.

Approved motors may NOT have any material removed from the can, endbell, coil winding stacks, or any other motor component.

Sensor board must remain mounted in the stock location. No modifications or tampering with the sensor assembly is permitted.

Hope this helps guys

That's great news Scotty. Are the tires as they come from Speedmind right now (insert and wheel) the same as they will be for the race?

Very pleased with this decision! Peter and Annie have provided great support up here in canada for rubber racing, really cool to see a canadian company step up to the plate! I have been runnin sorex all winter on indoor carpet and they work extremely well, and best of all for quite some time! Althought i have not run the 36's yet i believe they will be of the same quality and there wont be one disappointed racer! well maybe one or two..... LOL

P.S Who's the local hotshoe at speedworld?

that title is still held by JMO but STLNLST is the king of the straight.

If you would have seen my car take off you would have cringed and probably be thankful you run a TC5 rather than a Hotbodies cause replacing the chassis would have been cheaper
