Default Which 1/8th starter box???

Hi all

Ive been racing electric touring for over 4 yrs now. So ive just gotten into 1/8 nitro.

Id like to know what starter boxes out there are the better ones?

Ive been told the the following are good.

Mugen
LRP

Any others?

I recently got the LRP Starter Box after my cheapie spat the dummy, and its amazing. The power this thing has is great, turns over any motor I have put on it so far (testing it on my new GO .21 7 Port over Xmas) without any problems.

I have mine hooked up to a small 12v car battery as that fits in my tool box down the bottom no dramas (but its heavy) but i do plan on getting some good stick packs when I get a decent charger.... or I will stick with the car battery

depending on how much racing you plan on doing i like keeping one for spare..one with lipo and 1 w/gel..sometimes the heavy gel suits me better depending whats going on at the track but the lipos amust if much walkings involved(back&fourth to pits&back)
