Default Gizmo Racing USA Genesis TC Kit

First pictures are out. Many kits are already on the way out and will get maiden runs this weekend. I am still waiting on a delayed AMX order to complete the pending shipments. I hope to be all caught up by this time next week. I will put up a product listing to order in the next day or two, or you can PM me if interested. For those of you that got Beta Team kits, I am looking at end of next week to ship all your Genesis parts out to you!

Thanks for all the support guys. I am proud of this one:

Gizmo Genesis

Just and FYI, the aluminum car has the Beta motor mount still on the pictures as well as the top deck. The Genesis will come with the new mount in both versions. I just wanted to get ou the Aluminum car pics ASAP.

Like i said on the other thread, I had finished gensis and it built really well.

I especially like the new hubs, arms because it should eliminate a potential area for breakage/bending. The battery mount system moves back/forth, and side to sids so you can fit any pack in, and tune with the weight.

I also really like the new axle ends, and the outdrives for the drivetrain. There is probably 400% or more contact area without increasing friction(after broken in). This will hopefully eliminate the notching of outdrives. Also the new spur gear hub is pretty nice, and super free.

Also the diff is revised, even though I didnt have a problem prior, its even better now, no leaking after its been build almost a week. The car can now fit the amx diff/pulley if you order the shapeways eccentrics.

The Gizmo GZ2 2018 is here and it has been refined to an all new level. The new car is more adjustable, more durable and easier to drive. The GZ2 2018 still features our specially patented designed drive-train system, which makes is possible to have a 100% centered drivetrain, not seen before in any high end touring car.

Very nice car. The new aluminum camber link plates look great.

Not sure what you mean by 100% centered drivetrain. Belts and diffs are still offset.

Despite my love of the original Gizmo design, I think the appropriately named Genesis looks awesome but I'm still looking forward to seeing pics of GZ2 2019.

Also like the new hub/arm mount combination, is the hub a new part designed by you or is it sourced from another manufacturer (like Awesomatix for the previous car)?

It's a new design.

The geometry change came to be because I was having difficulty measuring and understanding the geometry with the AMX hubs. Our geometry was sort of like a "gullwing arm" like on a schumacher and some offroad cars. This leads to some funky falling wheel rates, that while great on lower bite, can have a negative effect on the car in higher bite. This is not the case of the AMX because the shock essentially attaches above the arm, but on ours, due to design, this was not the case. I could have raised the shock lower mounting position, but this would have caused us to have to raise the shock and towers and that would have been against what we are trying to do with the platform. Our goal was to have a maximum low CG car with conventional shocks, increase durability, lower parts wear and lower parts count and a wider tuning window as well.

We learned a lot about what we were doing wrong and right with the BETA. The program was a good success. I got such good feedback from the guys that participated and I believe we got to a better understanding of our geometry vs other cars through it all. Another area of focus is we developed a few key optionals to be able to make the car more customizable to peoples' liking. You can now use awesomatix diffs and spools on the car, in case end users don't want to use the 3D printed parts. We will have a VTD conversion for it for those that run on lower grip conditions or want to be able to run an alloy chassis on asphalt and lastly, we have the ULP Towers, with hopefully optional ULP shocks in the near future (now that ARC has announced them, we will source some).
