Yep, Tim is awesome. I've since bought another Bmax kit and a bunch of Yokomo parts from him. Just too bad they gotta come from Japan. But not a big deal if you know what your up against.

Hey guys I built my buggy well over a month ago and didn't get much of a chance to run it but 5 minutes. Grab it from the bench today to find 3 of the 4 shocks leaking. Never have a messed up building shocks but who knows. I built them to manual spec with shock slime and all. Anyone else have this issue? Maybe it just needs to be ran. Also do associated o rings fit in the Yok shocks? Thanks

My shocks have been great since day one, no leaks. Still on the original orings. Not sure on the AE orings fitting.

No leaks here, never used slime. Double check the order you put all the orings.and spacers in. Thats all I can suggest.

Never had to rebuild or even refill them. You got to get used to that after three years of cheapish SCTs!

The orings for the caps go around the shock body and the cap seats into them. When I first did mine I was trying to seat the oring in the cap and three of the four leaked.

did you guys check the edges of the caps and anywhere else where the o-rings would be seated? sometimes there could be a sharp edge or a piece of metal sticking out that could nick the o-ring.

First test run with the Speed Passion 7.5R with kit gearing today. Did not change much from my usual set-up, just moved the shorty more to the front, and fitted some dBoots Multybyte with Schumacher Tubby inserts in the rear. I had to loosen the slipper a bit, but that was it already. The B-Max2 was still as easy to drive as with the 13.5R, but much faster, of course. Have I got to mention I'm in love with this car?

Shortly after arriving home, the package with my 1° hub carriers and some spares (that I'll probably never need...) arrived. Part quality of the hub carriers is typical of Yokomo - perfect! I hope the Associated TC5 servo mounts I ordered arrive soon. The servo saver loosens occassionally after an impact, and I fear that the threads in the plastic mounts will wear out at some point in time; oh, and some additional *bling* never hurts!

update: car is even better with the 1° hub carriers and 3° on the inside!

what is the correct tyres to use if the track surface already loose ? It's quite sandy. When i full blast, can see the sand fly all over..

I haven't raced on clay/dirt for a while, but you could try some PL Hole Shots or Calibers or JC Double Dees. If the surface is rather soft, JC Goosebumps could work.

dBoots is a British tyre manufacturer, the Tubby insert is a medium, quite large insert by Schumacher (U6734). This is a nice combo for sandy Astroturf.
