I think we may have lost a few guys to the new EV0. Its a shame that a $400 car kit such as the EV0 has a potential front gear box that can strip its gears. I was going to get one myself, but now I'm having second thoughts. I guess some guys have good luck with it, some do not.
I bought my 414M2 about a month ago and absolutely love its performance! The only thing I'd change on it would be to include some sort of battery hold down straps such as the xray. I'm running saddle packs and taping batteries can be a little troublesome when you are in a hurry.
I also picked up my TA04-TRF a month before that (414 clone). All I can add is that Tamiya does not cut corners, and the attention to the detail is second to none on their belt cars.
I'm sure now that the EV0 III is officially discontinued, and the EV0 III SK is limited, there will be an EV0 IIII soon. Maybe Tamiya will even take the 414 series down to a single belt ala Losi style. They certainly have the resources to do it! I'd buy one! Anyone from Tamiya listening?

YEP! A friend of mine baught his TB EVO 3 SURIKARN EDITION and he is not having a great time.
I own a TRF 414 M SURIKARN + SSG + LIGHTWEIGHT BULKHEADS and any other hop up you can think of.
It is the most reliable and enjoyable car ever.
Shaft is good but not that great.
I donīt have a digital camera to post pics rightnow but it is a beauty!

You can pick up a 414m2 from www.ultimatehobbies.com for $219.00! They put it on sale this month, I paid $259 from them last month but that was the going price for a NIB 414.

Hey Calvin,
If you order the battery hold down straps for the Schumacher SST chassis, they work great on the 414. If you go to www.racing-cars.com and do some searching into the parts diagram for this car, you'll see what I'm talking about.

I'm using Integy long battery strap. Pretty good. I have some major crashs like flipping over 5~6 times and the battery still hold on tie.
