You can view the manual and parts lists in the XRAY Forum T1FK'05 FAQ thread. The manual has an exploded view and all the part #'s needed.

I am looking at getting a new car and a local guy has a brand new FK05 - still in the box. I am curious if you guys have good part support for this car and if you would get this car at this time, I am pretty sure that it is a good deal so I am inclined to get it; just want to know how the parts support is?

thx

I race in Australia with the 05 and get all my parts from Stormer Hobbies. You will not go wrong with this car.

I bought and built an FK05 recently. Same as you I got a ridiculously good deal. There are plenty of spares, and before I bought mine I emailed Hudy and got a reply to the effect that they have no plans whatsoever to drop support for the 05. If you look at their site, they are still supporting cars way older than the 05.

That's correct. XRAY will support FK05 parts well into the future. We still produce parts for the earlier generation T1 platforms.

This is the car that I run at the track now. There is NOTHING wrong with the fk05, no doubt the T2 is eaiser to work on but this is still a great asphalt rubber tire car.

I don't think you'll be able to say that the car is holding you back :-)

FK05 seems to be doing particularly well - I believe for the club racer it's an even better car to set up to go fast than the T2. Moreover it's a TANK (broke my first part ever in 1.5yrs last week end: a body post...) compared to a lot of other cars. If you get a good deal, go for it!

Quick Q for FK05 owners who have mounted TRF shocks on their favourite ride: which bottom shock ends do you use? Can't seem to be able to get the length/droop right with neither the stock xray ones (even unscrewed quite a bit) nor the two different tamiya ones that come with the shocks... suggestions before I start trying more exotic brands parts from my pitbox? Thanks!

Cheers,
Paul

I use my associated shocks with YOK bladder caps and the FK'05 ends and it seems to work well

I need some help from the experienced FK'05 drivers. I recnetly purchased a used 05 and the tolerance between the motor and spur a very close. It has an 48 pitch 87 tooth spur. Will any xray spur fit and what other after market companies spurs will fit? What ratio should I be running for the stock class? Thanks.

so far i think the RW's are the best I've used... true and light. 85 fits a charm. for ratio, it really depends on the track you're running on... ask the local hotshots what they're doing, and run a 5% shorter ration, as they're probably asking more from their motor than you'd want to

can anyone help on my shock end question? Which shock ends to use on TRF shocks to make them fit an FK05? Can't seem to get enough droop for now, even non accounting for the notch in the shock body. Thanks!
