Racers, here we go!

Just like last year I will start working on this event a full 8 months before the event. This is the place to ask questions, get details, and so on. Spread the word!!!


As time passes I may post other threads that are a bit more specific so that you will not have to sift through page after page.

We are going to do our best to be active in all the forums, FB, twitter, and other avenues of networking...

Last year racers the event filled up with 450 racers well months before the event came. Get registered and atleast get your info in the system to show your interest. Be ready to get your payment in once it comes to that!

Guys, we have added the classes for the 2011 AMS. We will not offer the MT Class due to the low number at this years event. However, we have replaced that class with open 4wd Short Course.

Another Change made was that we are only offering "OPEN" 2wd and "OPEN" 4wd Short Course classes.

The reason for having open classes is it makes it easier to govern this. Last year we had so many things to work against with timing boost on speed controls, motor sizes, etc. The manufacturers are moving forward so fast that it's hard to set "spec" type rules.

So we will have open classes and I will establish the rules for that very soon so that everyone has plenty of time to get on the same page.

A couple months ago we posted that the winners of the Alabama Indoor Shootout would get care packages to attend the Alabama Manufacturers Shootout. Today we will post the names of the people who will be getting these packages!

The winner of Sportsman Buggy, Sportsman Truggy, Expert Buggy, and Expert Truggy at the Alabama Indoor Shootout will all recieve................

A paid trip to the Alabama Manf. Shootout in June of 2011!!!!

This consist of a free entry, hotel room, and a $50 card to be used for gas, food, etc...

The Alabama Manf. Shootout would like to again welcome Puddin to our promotions team for the next 8 months. Many of you know Matt, but for those who do not..

Matt worked with me for the 2010 AMS event. He and I worked side by side contacting sponsors throughout the year. By doing so and without a doubt we had the largest prize package of any race, giving around $60,000 back to the Racers! It's a hard task and takes many, many hours, and thousands of minutes on the phone to pursue this. In the end the AMS made the history books(do we have those for rc..lol) and we hope to bring that to you again this year! So when you guys see big Puddin, pat him on the back!
