2007 ROAR Region 12 On-Road Carpet Champs
After three years The ROAR Region 12 On-Road Carpet Championships are returning to Stockton RC Raceway.
This race in years past has produced some of the best racing on the West Coast in electric on-road carpet racing.
Come and enjoy a weekend of racing on the west coasts largest indoor carpet track. 98'x48', over 4,700 sq. ft. of CRC Fast Track racing carpet with a barrier system that is very forgiving on cars. We should have some great raffle prizes for our entered drivers.
This will be our final race of the '06 - '07 carpet season and the last chance to prove who is the fastest in Region 12. New to this years race will be the inclusion of the Novak 13.5 and 4300 touring car classes and the 13.5 brushless 1/12 class.
Brushless has had a huge impact on our local racing scene and across the country and deserves recognition at the region level and the reason for inclusion in the '07 Region 12 On-Road Carpet Championships.

huh?
With Novak 13.5 as the only 12th scale class, will anyone show up to race 12th scale?

I spoke with Reuben today about a second 12th scale class. If there is enough interest (and it seems there is pleny) he will run a 12th 19t class. It would be for ROAR legal 19t motors only (no brushless). If you want to runn this class please either pre-enter or make your intentions known here on this forum.

KinzR ....... In this area of our region, Central Valley and Bay Area 90% of the 1/12 racers are running brushless 13.5. At our last big on-road race the North West Carpet Champs we ran combined brushed and brushless class. in Stock 1/12th we had 12 of 14 racers using a 13.5. In 1/12th 19 turn we had 3 of 6 running brushless 4300. Yes I do belive we'll have a well represented 1/12 class. Where do you currently race and what class do you race.
JRRC has approached me regarding a 1/12 19 turn brushed class. I would be more than happy to add this class if there appears to be a demand. This would be a brushed ROAR legal 19 turn class. If you guys are serious about this class post up here and let us hear.
To all the 1/12 racers that experienced our traction issue thru the Northwest Carpet Champs the switch to Paragon Ground Effects (black & purple can) has returned the results we had hoped for. Traction is off the hook once again. I've been running grey rears and purple fronts without any problems making traction for 8 mins.

OK, please don't form up a 19 Turn on my account I was just curious. I really wasn't aware that more than a handfull of 1/12th scale owners were running the Novak 13.5. Just suprised to see Stockton offering just one 1/12th scale class featuring a motor that I don't see much of any talk about. I would have guessed the brushless class would have been the 4300 which I see alot of interest in. Again, wish you all the best, long live 1/12th scale.

KinzR ...... I wasn't forming up a 1/12th class just for you. I've actually been approached by a couple of people at our track about this. 1/12th 19 turn is my favorite class, just didn't think there would be a demand for it at this race. As long as there is I'm more than happy to run it. Believe me the more 1/12th racers the better. Taxi cabs have ruled for too long we need to get back to cars that work well and don't cost $500. VIVA LA 12th SCALE.
KinzR where do you race and were you considering comming to this race?
