I ran the stock 18r tires sauced with jack the gripper, and stuck most of the race.(stock speedo and motor) So even with the mini missles, should be one helluva time.

Kerr- I wish my F1 had open wheels! I don't know how to attach pictures, otherwise i would,(computer illiterate) but mine has a two seat cockpit and closed wheels.

Someone told me if you run a 3cell battery w/ a really mild brushless like the 5700 that this was the way to go. Makes it run linear like a brushed so that there is no esc cogging. I know 2 cell w/ brushless drives really funky for me which is why I'm trying brushed this weekend.

The brushless setup that i am using is one of the first mamba's to hit the shelves....I haven't really had a cogging issue with this one.( From 2s up to 4s) The second mamba system i got, which was about a year ago, that sucker won't run without a major cog first.

The guys at castle creations say you need to put another cap parallel to the one on the ESC, and supposedly buh-bye cog. (still have yet to try it)

I'll bring the lower Kv motor to try it out.

Today was a blast. Turn out indeed was pretty good. Good to see all of the 18R's out in force

Had a good time yesterday. i didnt think running the 18r's would be such a blast.

Mike thanks for the offer of running the hotter motor. I bet your glad i didnt take you up on that offer. Stock 18r is way fun hope to see more out there next time.
