Default LRP FLOW

Did a search and cant find much on this.
There must be some opinion on how its working for off road. The on road guys seem to like it but they are having problems downloading the lastest up grades. Wondering how it works out of the box. I like my SXX because its so easy to change the settings. Anyone using these?... thanks

I have a couple of them and love em, I mainly run blinky so i haven't had the need to do an update yet. I never had an issue updating my older sxx stuff though.

Love the new FLOW speed controls. The feel is very linear and responsive. They run extremely cool, but include a fan that can be added or removed with a plug and 4 screws. No external programmer needed with easy to read LEDs. They can be updated via a USB link / computer, and I haven't had any problem loading updates, etc;

We have both the Flow Works Team and the new Flow Competition in stock as well.

Thats what I has hoping to hear. So it sounds like its usable out of the box?
Important to me as I dont want to screw around trying to install LRP's program on my computer. The on road forum says it can be frustrating with Windows 7 (what I have)....Thanks for the replys.

Yes, you can run it with the software that comes with it out of the box - no worries. One change that an update has it smaller timing increments (stock program is 5 degree increments, update is 2 degree) which isn't a big deal, especially in off road.
I have the updates on a PC with Windows 7 and have no issues.

Off topic question,

Does the Flow Competition come with a fan?? I have the Works Team in my TRF417 and love it. Just installed a Flow Competition in my buggy for blinky and 13.5.

If does'nt come with a fan, any suggestions as I can't find a Flow fan. I hear the SXX fan does not fit.

I have one...set to blinky...with a 10.5 in my 210 buggy. It stays very cool to the touch after each race.

Nice to know Td
I'll be testing my new built TRF201 w/Flow comp today with 17.5 blinky (I'm new to offroad 2WD, last 2WD was an Astute in '89). One step at a time
