Durango DEX210 Thread

Thats part of the reason to run the shorty packs......... You'll drop almost a 100 grams off that weight and be able to adjust your weight bias more easily. My car is around 1630 with all stock hardware and steel turnbuckles. Put some titanium turnbuckles, titanium and aluminum screws and I should be just under 1600 which is good enough for me. I also dont run any extra weight and so far havent found the need to either.
All stock with LRP speedo and motor, spektrum reciever and savox servo.

Stupid moment here...
I went to put on my new Atomic Carbon CF steering link and brace along with the lipo strap. Went in flawless and looks great. The track i'm going to this weekend is deffinitely a candidate for the RM4 config. So I take the countless screws out and finally get to the gear box. i crack it open and flip the spur gear around and put everything back. This takes a while! Well I forgot to take out the large idler gear and put in the two smaller idler gears. Doah!!!! I have to get back in and do it again!

I run a Speed Passion GT pro esc and motor, standard futaba receiver, standard 1257 Savox servo. The weight will depend on your pack....standard size packs typically range from around 250-300 grams....there are lighter ones depending on mah and C rating. I have a couple of standard packs that range from 210-230. Shorty packs are are all around 195-205g. Chances are, most poeple will save at least 50g by changing to a shorty pack..... that guys car was over 1700 grams which means he probably has a heavy pack.

Nothing available from Durango as of yet, but some are using an SC10 diff, and shimming it to work, but I haven't seen it in person..The ball diff is pretty beefy, and works great for me..
Couldn't sleep thinking about that Akula front tower, so I took out the dremel and my cracked stock tower and came up with this..
Akula tower
Modded Akula tower-I would have have tightened up a bit, but the stocker was cracked where I couldnt do much more. I will put it through the ringer, and see how it holds up..

Smart use of a cracked tower
I was planing to mill similar brackets from 7075 aluminum, placing the upper link as per the original (and maybe do the same for the rear, removing the original ones from the gearbox).
