Just got my MTX-3 ready to go. I was wondering what gearing should I start out with on a large track. 270 Ft. straight and large infield located in Hamilton, Ohio. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It sound like you have a bone stock MTX3 rcabj... Go with front universeals, MRX3 front outdrives, the MRX3's front belt and change to aluminum hexes all the way around and you should have no more problems.. As for trust spring.. If your track has good bite, try using 30,000 in the rear. You can get on the throttle sooner. I switch between 10K and 30K depending on the track conditions.

I just got an mtx3 after i sold my ntc3. I was wondering what do you guys measure your shocks at? guy at the track is saying 11.3 mm in front and 12.3 in rear. thanks for the help.

Need help setting my mugen for a short track, little grip and foams.
basically I´ve just finished breakin my mugen with mt12 and had some runaways with rubber but I´d like to try the foams that came with the kit on my first race tomorrow against 7 tc3s, 2 hpi and 1 kyosho. any recommendations. running with 18 benol, 20 klotz nitro (LHS ran out of fuel ´til next week).

I have done a little searching, but I have not been able to find anything. I need a good basic setup for the MTX-3 with rubber tires and a one-way. Does anybody have one that they can post?

nick the stock setup with purple springs and the b block in the servo saver is what i run. might want to try a diff in the front also if there is anything less than absolute traction.

run a front mechanical diff if you're using rubber tyres.
the rubbers will not have enough grip for the one-way to act efficiently.
