I remove top deck after I have got the screw you can reach tight and pull the spur gear assembly up till I can get to the screw. That is the best way I have found.

They were out of stock for some of their springs a couple of weeks ago and then they got some in a short time after that so they do try to restock often but remember the other company has to have the inventory before they can get it to SKmotion. Hpi parts in the past have been hard to get at times.

Just keep checking back or contact Ty at SKMOTION directly so he can tell you when they may have more.

I think in a pinch associated springs work well and they are cheap and available at most places. The HPI springs are really popular because a couple of big name drivers use them when they race asphalt, (these are not HPI drivers either) so I think that is why they are so popular.

I bought them for that reason as well

I think Ty has some soft Avid springs in stock and honestly Jeff and I have talked about trying them soon. I am going to Nats next week so I am just trying as many things as possible before I go.

just got my 2mm topdeck and the 0 angle driveshafts yesterday and they both make the car feel better the topdeck definately helps with adding more flex which will for sure help the car out on asphalt and carpet with rubber tire and the 0 angle driveshafts really free up the drivetrain when the steering is at full lock. looking forward to trying it all out at a local tracks 2-day event this weekend.

Jeff thanks for the update. I have those parts as well as others in my shopping cart at skmotion, just waiting on more funds to come in so i can place 1 order for everything.. I have the front and rear low friction belts, 2mm top deck, 0deg shafts, 2 sets of hpi silver springs and 1 set of blue. Can you think of anything else that i might need right away???
