RRR Evo, WC, WC Evo??

whats the differences?

rrr evo was basically two basic cars ago this car was the first to have 2mm offset rear tires
rrr evo wc was the previous "hopped up" car with cvd's and other things
rrr evo2 was the last basic car and they switched to 0mm offset rear tires for the evo2
rrr evo2 wc is the most recent release with the "hop ups" included.

I believe the WC is around $80 more than the non, it is well worth the difference.

The WC was the lay-down throttle servo. The Evo's all had a stand up throttle servo

if i get a cheap rrr or rrr evo..

how hard would it be to convert to a rrr evo 2?

can i replace parts using the evo2 on the normal rrr or rrr evo? as i break them?

or are they totally incompatible?

You can update as you go. I started with a RRR when it came out and I have been updating parts as they wear out. The only part that I haven't updated is the top deck, I like the lay-down throttle servo.

they are compatible all the way back to v-one-s parts for a lot of things, but the evo2 has a new chassis and top deck, that is about $130 worth of stuff right there plus the 0mm rear wheel setup which requires longer dogbones (WC comes with universals in the rear I believe so you need axles too)

the evo2 wc is the best option unless you can get an evo wc for 150+ less. or as mentioned above, swap as you go. you can cut the evo chassis (the middle front brace mostly) and then you can run the capricorn or km top deck for the xray tank or get the evo2 top deck since they all provide more flex and steering. it's really up to you if you want to run 2mm or 0mm rear tires.. I run both depending on the track so I go back and forth. since it is just a dogbone and a pivot ball adjustment. the evo2's rear shock tower is thicker but has basically the same positions that you would use normally.

I used to run the laydown servo and then went back to the upright and never really noticed a difference..

the WC cars tend to come with hollow drive shafts, f+r cvds, blade rear sway bar, titanium shock shafts, and I believe they all came with one piece engine mounts (evo2 for sure)

I did the upgrade, but just because I had the evo WC. Otherwise would have bought the evo 2. It comes 2D clustch which I think is the biggest change among with the chassis and top plate. Evo WCE (one) comes with 1-piece engine mount, too.

My only slight concern is the front diff in Evo 2, in evo (one) it was a drop-in, but in the Evo 2 you need to some mods yourself to get it fitted in (I guess because of the new style servo saver). People quite rarely seem to run the oneway that comes in the box. But I have the understanding it is doable woithout purchising the evo (one) parts for the servo saver and ackerman plate.

Will the CVDs from the V-One R fit the V-One RRR Evo or any other V-One RRR?

In short, yes. the dimensions of the car have not changed much.

the fronts should fit between any of the cars, but people with spools use longer cvds usually. diffs may be shorter, I don't know because I don't run one and my 47mm's fit fine.

the rears have changed, I believe the first rrr had one length, the evo had another with the 2mm wheels and now the evo2 has a 3rd (from the fw05) with the 0mm wheels again. You can find manuals for them all on kyoshos site.
