Generic Battery Question
I have an Integy INDI Booster2. Accourding to the webside this has a 0.0v cutoff. But, from difference sources, it sounds like this is not a good idea.
Currently I will charge my packs, run them, discharge them, tray them then store them for the next week. My quesiton is, is this a good haibit or am I doing something that will harm my batteries?
I am asking this question is this thread because I just orderd two packs of stage 3 Surge batteries and I want to make sure I take the best care of them I can.
Thanks is advance.

You will be fine following that procedure. The indi tray only brings them to 0.0 if you leave them on there for two cycles of the green lights. Put the pack on, wait for the green lights to go out once, then watch the red light and when it goes out the green lights come on...take the pack off then. Thats supposed to be Nicad mode. If your going to leave your packs sit for a while put some charge back into them. If your packs are sitting for a while you will probably need to "wake them up". Charge them and then discharge them pretty hard (like 30 amps) the day before you plan on running and they will be golden on race day

Thanks,
That brings another question to mind. How should I use the tray with Nickel Metal batteries? Should I pull the pack off after the indiviual cell (white lights) go out? I bought it new, but it did not come with any directions. It has been trial and error for me trying to figure out how to use it.

Stewartfan,
When I tray NiMH batteries i will keep them on the tray till all the lights go out and then for additional 15 mins or so, i do to ensure all the cells are at equal voltage before my first charge. BUT...if you plan on storing your batteries instead of charging them again, do not tray them, this will damage the cells and cause it to false peak when it has to be charged again. I hope this helps you out with your new tray.
and for everyone else here i just joined the surge team, i race in the eastern ohio and pa area. If you have any questions for me feel free to drop me a email, thanks guys
