Default Can anyone help Identify?

Hey everyone a friend of mine gave me this piece of garbage. I kind of want to rebuild it and just bash it. I never used any rc offroad so I figured it would be fun. I need to know where I can find the correct gears and maybe some parts to replace rusted ones. Anything is appreciated.

all that I know is that it is made by Kyosho and says Kelron on the chassis.

thanks in advance!

That is a Kyosho ultima II . That is one of their race level cars from the mid to late 80's. That car was around say 86'to 87' .It was released as their answer to the original rc10. Wasnt very popular to race, but definitely a cool peice of rc history.

The Ultimas were my weapon of choice back in the day....I never wanted to run what everyone else did.

Be prepared to spend some dough if you want to complete that car. It would likely be much cheaper to buy a brand new Factory Team RC10B4.

That is a labor of love, not for the faint of wallet.

Yup and Ultima II there. Some of the parts were reused in the Outrage and maybe the High Rider Corvette II (not the first one, it was based on the Big Brute chassis). There were a ton of cars based on this chassis, both on road and off road. Good luck finding parts, e-bay is your friend.

How did you go with the rebuild? I have a fully functional one of these and the manual with the parts list. this is an old post but I thought .. if you still have it sitting around, my manual might help.
