They have in the past if you race Friday night you can leave your stuff neatly in place and have your spot claimed for Sat morning. Like Halve said there are permantely reserves spots for OCRC members (paid for) so before you lay claim to a spot look under the table for a plaque just to make sure you won't get booted on Sat. There should be plenty of space for all of us though if we keep to our area's.
Looking forward to saturday's race, should be a fun time. it will be nice to see the smiling faces of the Banzai Nation as we have some fun in honor of Bob James, plus Casper is chomping at the bit to get out this new car of his Mom, maybe we can get Robert Black to fire up the coffee pot !!

there are lots of outlets. Bring the pot and the coffee and make it there!
Hey there Judi, just wanted to remind you to pack that hoody for me for tomorrow. Also, could I get 2 motor labels? Mine are getting scratched up quick under that crawler. I want to have the fresh labels for the next comp.
Speaking of which, I found the schedule for the So Cal series.

Hopefully you check this before you leave in the moring but I need stickers. You usually have them with you but I have run out!
What a wonderful tribute race to Bob James!!
Robert, thank you for such a great race and your continued
commitment to the racing community!
The 1st Annual Memorial Race for Bob James was an enormous
success! I believe Casper posted we had 166 entries! Robert
also had a raffle, and ALL entries and raffle money went to
the James family! He also bought pizza for all the racers!
We laughed, we cried, especially during the video, made by
Kermit, and we had a great day of doing what Bob LOVED
to do, we raced!!!!
I couldn't help but think while looking at so many pictures of
Bob, he almost always had on a Banzai shirt. He loved being
part of this team, and it was awesome to see so many of
the Banzai Nation there. Some still with the team, some not.
But ALL there to show their love for him. Thank you to the team
guys who came from Bakersfield and San Diego, and all over
SoCal!
Thank you also to Jason Boulanger for the great picture that
we all signed the border of for the family.
Thanks to Jeremy Felles for calling the races with his great
sense of humor, even with a broken heart!
As soon as the results are posted, I'll get them on here.
Banzai Nation did Bob-O proud yesterday!!!!!!!!

Since mom doesn't have all the results until they get posted I will post my results. I won Super Stock Buggy with my Banzai 13.5 BL motor and Banzai 3800 Lipo battery! This was against some of OCRC's best super stock racers. Car ran strong all day and just used the same battery for practice and all three races as well. What an awesome combo for power!
Wanted to make sure there was some Banzai power in the winners circle for Bob!

Casper was one awesome racer yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He "laid it down" in style, Bob would have been grinning
ear-to-ear on that one!!!!!!!!!! Good job, Casper!
That class is REALLY competitive down there, so this
was a great win!
I have several of the winners, just wanted to get all
the A-Main results. Anyone else who wants to post, please
do! The "Nation" was on fire yesterday!

I'll say it was an excellent event.. The tribute was spot on, capturing the side of Bob we all knew.
After my year long or so 'retirement', I think I put it on the podium in sportsman stock..If not I got close with my Brushed Banzai.
Either way it was a great day of racing and hanging out with good people

I got asked to Drive my buddys car after his race...so I did and I loved it, it handled pretty good...so he was like why dont you sign up for the other stock buggy class(he was running am.)with his car, so I did....ended up with the Tq and win in that class...and had a SICK 4 way battle in Mod 4wd for the third spot the WHOLE race....and ran 4th pretty much the whole race till the last corner so I ended up getting 5ht ohhh well...I had a blast.
I was running the Banzai 6.5 in my 4wd and it was SOOO fast that I turned it down from 140% down to 90% so I could handle my car!!!
And of course in the stock buggy class me and my buddy had the Banzai 17.5 in there.
Had a great time....and it was good to see everyone out there for Bob.

I heard that the entry record for a OC/RC race was beat at the "Bob James Memorial" (21 heats! !) That shows a lot of love! !...... Awesome race, and good people all day long. Thanks for the help Scott, Very much appreciated. Long live "The Nation! !" and thanks for all the power and support you guys offer, even to us privateers' again thanks for all you do and GO TEAM! !
Casper, Congrats, I know with the new house and all, your track time has suffered, it was great to see you out there at the point, as Fez would say, Congrats on a great weekend, also ALex was very happy with the 3800 LiPo. It's nice to be part of a team, but to be part of a team that has great products is even better...BITCH (in loving memory of Bob)
