losi 2.0 shock mod ?
I have heard of guys doing a vent hole and using a piece of foam above the bladder. Is there an article or someone who has done this that can give me a couple of answers like drill size and vent location foam density and what not. thanks in advance

The shocks build up easier and more consistent rebound since all you have to do is fill to the rim, drop on the bladder and tighten down the cap slowly and let the excess oil flow away no pushing up on the shock shaft. On the track I can say that the truck will not bottom on anything, the suspension seems to react quicker to bumps and turns and I never have oil build up at the top of my shocks like I used to. I cut out small stop sign shapes of proline buggy tire inserts for the cussions, I didnt like the 2 o ring idea and every thing is staying clean and holding up well. No rebuilds for 3 races with 3 qual. and 15min main plus 30min of practice each time.

I thought I had posted it here but I could not find it. What I do, and this was shown to me by Adam Drake is the following:
Drill a small hole in the shock cap(on top) around the flat machined spot. This hole can be approx the same size as the hole on the side of the cap.
Take two shock o-rings and glue them together with ca glue. Glue the o-rings into the inside of the cap(center it) Fill your shocks up until about 1/16-1/8 inch from the top. Insert your bladder and make sure it is seated. Pressing lightly with your finger.
Once air bubbles escape install cap and you should have close to full rebound front and rear. What you do not want is for the shock to lock up before fully compressing, if so take a touch of oil out and repeat.
The more traction the less rebound you will run. The less traction, the more rebound. I think Adam recenly posted this as well. For the most part I always run 3/4- full rebound on all but the highest bite tracks.

just to clarify:
when you glue the orings in side the cap do they need to be around the drilled hole ? and does the hole need to be drilled in centre of the cap as wouldnt that be hard to do or can it be off centre? pics would be great

Just don't block the hole with the o-rings, they need to be in the center as they support the bladder.
At the top of your shock cap you will see that milled area that allows you to get the nut driver on easily it starts out small and goes wider. Just drill the small hole half way up that.

So you don't have to be worried aboutr the dirt to build up in the shock bladder ? Also what would that 56 hole be in metric ? 1.3mm or 1.4mm or what ?
