Default engine choice?

Hello, I am new to nitro, and wanted to know what engine is good to start for truggys. There are so many brands with a huge price range so needed some advice. First time out so don't want to break my wallet and in turn toasting the engine... Thanks

Default Trinity Extech

Take a look into the Trinity ExTech "II" Pre-Run "Full Modded" .24 Competition Truggy Engine (Turbo Plug) TRI40104. They are excellent engine and also have a great price $315.00

the ninja jx and os vspec would be a good choice, they are one of the easier motors to tune and make good power

this is for competition. If it was just bashing, I would just get the cheapest one out there, but different story if I have to race. don't want to go too crazy on the budget, but don't want an engine that requires a phd to operate either So I guess I am looking into a $200-300 range?

Jammin Jpx.28 if you dont care so much about run times. Jammin JPX .21 if you do. Both engines right around $200 and way more than you can ever need and possibly handle..The .28 is just INSANE!!!

Ive have had a couple of the Jammin engines, both .28s and a .21 and have had excellent luck with all . Great bang for the buck, and awsome power !

OS vspec or Ninja JX

These are at 300 and are good solid engine. Easy to tune. Good power smooth. And they are not to bent on pipe selection. The Vspec get very good fuel milage..........

+1 on the vspec I have 3 speed. Ersikns and I love them all best engine I have run. I thought you were looking for a cheaper engine bit the vspecs are very easy to tune and run strong. The new ninja b01a is also a great engine very strong and the crank is coated so it will last for awhile.

Hang on if you get a powerhouse modded engine. These things rock. They will blow away anything else at your local track. Mark at powerhouse knows his stuff.
