The later Hong Nor kits (LD3 and I assume the CD3 since it uses most the same parts) are very very good!!

I seen a mates Hong Nor 1/8 buggy bust and break almost every day ( the ULTRA ), it was a heap of crap, it was terrible but that buggy is years old and HN have come a long way, I am very happy with my LD3

BTW - when you say OFNA you are talking about many different brands (and quality) being rebaged and sold under the one name in the USA. The upcoming Hyper GP4 is made by Hobao where the LD3/CD3 is Hong Nor.

The USA vs "Rest of the world" versions can be different also so check what kit you are looking at. (ie - OFNA LD3 pro does not come with centax clutch where the rest of the world get a centax clutch in the HN LD3 pro kit.) I think the CD3 might be the same though, all the goodies seem to be on the OFNA website. )

Hard to say. The write-up on the Ofna (US Spec) CD3 seems to indicate all the aluminum and CF goodies will be on the Pro, along with the Centax. If they have a setup that includes the starter box (something always has to be different...) it's as good as sold.

While I keep hearing the quality of the FW-05 is much better, the suspension looks the same as the LD3. Sonce I have most of the spare parts for that car, it becomes a no brainer as to what my next car will be. Shaft drive seems good to me, so looking at a belt drive car (MTX-3, 710, R40, HyperGT4) isn't necessary just yet

Two mates have FW05Rs..

Bang for buck I am not impressed. Does not even come standard with CVD's.

I don't know about quality. It would want to be better since the O5R costs $$$ more. Be interesting to see what the CD3 pro kit costs

I do like the thick 0.8 gearing the FW05R

Anybody know where to get the conversion??

I emailed RC-Mushroom but King replied he won't be ordering Hong Nor any more. Hmmm.

Looked or it everywhere, so far no luck.
