Sweep Racing Tires 1/10th Sedan thread

I have a set of Evo tires I ordered direct from Sweep USA but I'm never sure if anyone else has the evo or the old tires because of the part number not changing. Look, I like choices but it's getting plain old too confusing to order Sweep tires. Too many still available, too many options, confusing naming convention, etc.

Evo is an updated EXP tire. EXP36-Evo or 30/40 is Sweeps high end racing rubber. It has more grip and last longer then the original EXP series tires. You can only order the new Evo in the EXP line so that's straight forward.
Guys above are talking about the "updated" QTS32 and 28 tires. The QTS32 is a widely used spec tire for carpet racing and isn't as fast as an EXP Evo but last longer and cost less. Its a running change I believe. John would have to clarify on that.
Straight off the US web site,
R stands for thicker long lasting radius for rough tracks. like Parking lots
E stands for Expert, EXP Sythetic rubbers. all out competition tires.
QTS stands for Quick traction System. Low profile tires mainly for Carpets.
OG is our all brand new rubbers designed for SPEC Racing. Carpet and Asphalts.
And what an updated one would read,

EXP-Evo stands for Expert, EXP-Evo Sythetic rubbers. all out competition tires.
QTS stands for Quick traction System. Low profile tires mainly for Carpets.

It's in black color with diffrent treatment to keep it more cushion with less heated charator. over all better than last one.
We did discontinued old EXP tires. except some left overs. the EVO have EXP EVO Emblem on the side wall.
Thanks Kody. we just never stop improve our tires, inserts or wheels.

which would be the best tires from your range to use on a
small low grip carpet track with no additive aloud. prefere to
buy pre glued.

Congrats to Karl H for TQing and winning 17.5 TC @ the annual Halloween Classic at the Gate this past weekend! This race gives racers a choice of the standard US spec tires, Jaco, Solaris and Sweep. Karl and I ran Sweep and finished 1-2. I also finished 4th in Mod TC.

Are these available only direct from Sweep ??
I can't find them on any of the US websites -- they are all on backorder or out of stock (i.e. Stormer, SpeedTech RC).
Thanks

Last week I'm racing in stock 13.5T boosted class, I usually using Sorex 40 with Red RJ Ride insert for if the asphalt above 95F and Black Tamiya insert if the asphalt reach below 95F.
In practice session I try this new Sweep SWP40R with Huge RC Yellow insert with a bad result, tires heat up so bad that it almost like driving a drift car.
Then I try for the Red RJ Ride insert in SWP40R, for the first 2 minutes it feel like I'm using Sorex40 with Red RJ Ride insert, then the tire heated up badly and it goes side way again.
Then for the third set I try the SWP40R with using those pink insert that comes in the package, what a mess, it couldn't stand for more than a minute than the tire start to melting.
I manage to complete the race with only 2 used set of Sorex40 tire with not a good result, start in nine main A and finish in eight posisition
Could someone tell me what is the best Sweep tire that I have to use with this hot asphalt ?

Those are the R40 tires correct? The R series tires are not really comparable to sorex. The EXP/EXP evo tires are more comparable to sorex. 95F isnt really that hot for track temp, I would suggest getting EXP 36s with the pink insert, Those always have a lot of grip for me.
#614
The track temp is 95F and the tires would have around 140F - 158F at the end of run, maybe I should try the EXP tire.

Hi all:
I'm running the Sweep spec EXP-QTS pre-glued tires (LS rug racer inserts) on a small, low-med grip carpet track.
What's the best traction compound for these tires (we can only use the low/no odor compounds) ??
I've been running SXT 3.0, but was wondering if there is another low/no odor compound that gives more bite ?
Thanks !!
