Thanks for the feedback, at least for sure the screw orientations are different.


Contrary to that Jills did mentioned "To upgrade your "old" 416 to the X you need the rear bulkhead, rear belt and topdeck. You can't use the new front bulkhead on the old chassis."

Anyone can assist to provide the Tamiya P/N all neccessary parts to make the conversion possible. This will eventually reduce the same question from others. With the p/n ppl can look up themselves... Thx in adv.

Just a question regarding your tight ball diff in your MO5M. Which ball diff did you use? The new MO5 ball diff or the old TAO3 ball diff?

Sounds like the new Ride mini tyres might be pretty good. Are they as hard wearing as the Ride 3035's?

I'm building my 416X now, the car went together very well.

2 questions:

- Are you using the original diff screw or something else?
I found the screw a bit short, high risk of stripping.

- More important for me:
I have issues with my Lipos (LRP 5300 and Boomerang, EP 5200)
The (- Minus) socket is exactly below the topdeck. I don't want to Dremel, it would weaken the top deck too much. I'm also scared about dremeling the Lipo-Pack. I'm sure you have tested with Lipo's, any ideas?

Go to RedRC and look at pics of the 416s from the ETS races (race 1 and 2 in 2009-2910 series). You can see how they have soldered together battery connector and plugs that fits under the upper deck.

I have been using my 416we with your euro setup and adjusting
droop to suit different track and it has been quick

how will my new 416x differ or should I build it the same way

The differents in Stock and Modified is not much, the cornerspeed is about the same. In mod you have little more torque so normally little more toe-in is required.

The last race I tried cleaning cum( this what you use to clean gascar ) in my geardiff. You actually make almost a spool as the diff doesn't work anymore.
This gives really good on power response(no diff slip anymore) but little lack steering out of corner. Before I use old M03 balldiff. Will try M05 balldiff later as soon as I get one. The Ride tyres for the TITC are very low wearing and good traction, not as good as Sweep tyres but for all drivers same. The TITC controlled tyre is also bigger then the previous Ride tyre (3035)

Setting for Ride Tyre is not much different as with other tyres at RCA.
One thing I noticed at the Futaba Cup was that old tyres worked better then new tyres. Beginning of Februari is a TITC warm-up race(Ride Cup) so good time to prepare.

I'm sure that the diff is the same as the previous models so no changes there. I quess you need to tight the diff little more then.
I use Orion Lipo's with the wire/plug coming out of the side, so no problems with plugs. Maybe check some pics from Marc/Viktor's car at recent races as they use SMC packs with plugs.

No need to change setting for your new ride. You might need to play little with your balance weight if more weight is reguired.

I don't think I have ever heard of cleaning Gum (cum ), however I will stick to the anti-wear grease. Thank you for your information regarding the tightness of the ball diff and the ride tyre. Does the tyre have a round or square edge.

Do you know what type of insert they will be using in the handout tyre for mini?

In some races, organiser implement that max heigh of the rear wing not more than 115mm (which is the min height of the car roof) instead of IFMAR's not exceeding the height of the car roof (115mm - 175mm).

I just wonder how they measure it in Thailand / TITC?

I meant the height. If they measure the height by using the MuchMore TC gauge means less than 115mm.
