engine warmer qustions
does anybody know about these things?i heard some stuff about them,are they good or bad?help or not? i would like to take my buggy out some where but the engine is to tight right now(still braking it in).need to heat her up before starting her. will they work in a case like mine? where can i get one if so and how much? thanks

Talk to Mark at Powerhouse on here. He sells them and they work very well. You will need AC power. Friends have 5-6 of them. Lots of toys.

Not off a starter box. If you have a power inverter it should run off that. They are looking for a way to do it. As far as I know they have not found a way to do it. They are so much easier than a heat gun. Hook it on and relax.

i have been braking it in around my development and i think there getting sick of it(the noise),thats why i would like to take it some where.do u know what they cost

yes they do work and they work good a must have
if you ask me. I won two and most of my buds have them
much easier to use than a heat gun I put them on in the
morning do my runs then put them back on they
will stay on the motors all day. and your motors are
always ready to go

a good hair dryer works just as well on hi settings.and it only cost 15 to 30 bux.

plus a million on the heat warmer i have got one from mark at powerhouse ...trust me there will be a million people come on here and tell you a heatgun is better ...its not ...much easier with the warmer ..and just a blessing when trying to break in pesky mtrs ..most who say heat gun dont wanna spend the money for the warmer ...best money ive spent in 5 years of rc

The engine warmers I sell are currently AC and they are 110v/60w units. We currently are making a 240v European version so those will be out soon and we are currently looking into a 12v DC version. The current heaters operate on current resistance and they have 6 resisters per element. What we are trying to find is an element that can heat the engines to a similar temperature range but it will also require resistors with about 10 times less resistance than the current AC versions. I will have info on them very soon and it looks like it may be very likely that a DC version will be availble within the next couple of months. For now, I would look into an inverter and you can get them pretty cheap. A 400-600watt inverter will run you about $25-30 on eBay. I know it seems like the long way around the block but making electrical devices that create heat is not something we rush due to the liability issues. I will keep everyone posted to the status of the DC heaters. Thanks for your interest!
