I wonder if you can use the GT2 axles instead of the B44 ones and use with the QC GT2 wheels on all corners?

It looks like the rear hub carriers are already GT2 ones and this would make it where some of us that have the T-4s with QC wheels and tires to reuse on this???

I might try to convert my B44 after I race it as buggy a few times. I love the trucks!!!

If you take a look at the stock rims they have a very narrow off set. You can find wheels which will have a much larger off set and increase the width of the car by about 2 inches which would give the wheels plenty of room to stay off the car when you turn. Then you can mount up some body posts to those shock towers & mount your truck body right on up. Then, be sure to set your servo saver properly or you will go through them, or front a-arms in a hurry. Wheels w/ a wider off set will actually allow the servo saver to take more of the force when you swipe a wall. Since the wheels stick out more, they are more inclined to just turn a bit instead of ripping off one of those arms.

Put those plastic touring car hex adapters[the traxxas have bigger center hole] and use CRT.5 rims. Their offset is is like the associated B3.The CRT.5 body is too short for the b44.Someone should check if they can adapt the Gt2 or t4 arms on the b44 using truck cvd's.

I don't know about the B44, but the BJ4WE can fit T4 arms, also the front spindle fits front T4 arms too, so that solves the front wheel drive problem. Of course, turnbuckles can be fitted, so no issue there. I haven't fit the T4 truck shocks, but I am sure they would work. The only thing I am not sure about is fitting CVD axles to this setup. But there you go, a BJ4WE inspired truck!

It is relatively easy to extend or shorten MIP CVD bones if you can;t find one the right length.

Contact MIP. They can give you direction as far as fit goes.

Don't see why a 4wd truggy couldn't be done on the B44 chassis, heck, you can do one on the SBV2 with just swapping the rims for some offset ones as the hex is the same as the traxxas.

There were a few guys asking about this. I'm sure if you can figure it out and provide a parts list some other people will do the same. If t4 arms fit I can't see why it can't be done. and I'm sure the QC hubs can be put on since I just converted a GT2 back to regular wheels using B4 parts.

I know the SBV2 can be converted into a truck using parts from other academy vehicles. DaveG posted some pics of one a little bit ago. So thats another 4wd truck option.

Good Luck I'd really like to see it done using longer arms instead of just bolting up non offset wheels
