I tried that yesterday, two .3mm kyosho shims and it didn't make a difference. I am starting to think my plates are warped.

If you look at the manual for the DEX210v2, they have two shims in there now.

Are you using a Durango spur gear? If not make sure the gear is not too thin in the middle. If it's too thin the center hub on the slipper plates may touch each other.

I just went with the avid slipper. Haven't had a problem since. My issue is I have to make sure I build the ball diff correctly or no matter how much I loosen the slipper my diff will bark. I have noticed that I have to run the ball diff tighter than with any of my other cars. With the avid I run 2 red pads and a white based on their info sheet. Although the diff feels tight it really isn't that much once it fully breaks in. There is a fine line between the perfect slipper setting and the diff barking.

Yep. That's why its selling for so little right now. Durango hasn't said anything about a DEST210V2 yet but I'd expect one is coming. As far as waiting, there really isn't a reason to do so. If the DEST210V2 is anything like the DEX210V2, you'll be able to upgrade your truck with the new parts.

Part #: TD320127 or type b #TD320270 and you will need one part from this TD320155 that extends to the motor guard but google the manual. There are a couple parts that get moved to the rear when you convert. Example the 2 long screws that go through the chassis and RF brace get moved to the rear.

Does anyone have a good setup for a large, dirt track? I've been running my DEST210 on carpet until now and aside from switching it from mid to rear motor, I'm not sure where to really start.

After seeing how little traction my SC10 had at the track yesterday, I'm thinking about running four gear as well.

There's one on eBay. It isn't cheap though.
