what is the difference between the race roller and the competition kit. other than the race roller is assembled is one better quailty than the other or both the same thanks for all help

+1 really the only difference. I think they include different tires but thats it.

I did not know that the 1.0 came in a race roller.

Race roller is prebuilt
Race roller comes with preglued xbt tires on white wheels vs kit comes with unglued step pins and yellow wheels
Race roller includes a partial vinyl body wrap and wing wrap
Race roller also has a different setup on it than the kit book has
Race roller has a white wing and kit has a black wing
Also the race roller came with the 8ight T servo saver spring as the kit does not
That's about it that I know of from owning both.

There used to be a 1.0 race roller. When they came out with the 2.0 roller they discontinued the 1.0 roller but for some reason they still sell the kits.

im pretty sure they are just moving out the rest of the inventory of the competition kits, i doubt they are still producing them

1.0 Kit is a excellent buy right now. That buggy is not outdated buy a long shot. You will be very competitive with it. Watching them kick butt on a regular. As is the mbx5 and the 777WC they are all still doing very well. They didn't reinvent the wheel. No improvements were so major that made the previous models obsolete.
