Well there's your new O.S. Engine or vspec replacement :)

i would rather a pink head then that blue one. for some reason the blue paint seems to fade rather fast. I don't have that problem with any other motor.
and i don't like blue

The engine will be a 5 port witch is alot different than the v-spec seen today. It will be aprox 16,2 on the bore and aprox 16,8 on stroke. It will be in the line with the new track engine that OS released last year.
Abaout the three and five port thing, it is the timing that is important, not the port timing itself.

i have always thought it would be a five port motor. I have 2 ninjaspecs and love them.
I guess he is refering to the timing on the crank. Which there is more to be had on the vspec i believe. Even the jx crank has more aggresive timing then the vspec. Big difference actually. Not neccisarily the intake port but the crank face itself.
and the timing of the stroke and detonation. there gonna come with o.s. version of eb mods head button hahahaha

he's actually talking about the port timing... where they are located in reference to stroke of piston... rather than the actual number of ports....
but what track engine are you talking about that OS released last year

I think he is talking about the .25 they just released. That is all that i know of. I heard it was killer.

I really hope they stick with the 16.6mm bore and 16.0mm stroke with the 1.18 rod length and add a DLC coated crank for longevity. It is a great combination for smooooth usable power which equals for lack of better words.. FAST... and has proven itself on the track over and over again!

Only update it needs is hardcoated crank and better rod and we would have the best engine in that price range!

i just hope it is at least on the level of the ninja. After all, i do think the ninja led somewhat to the demise of the vspec. They won't make it as good or better then the speed. Probably just a 5 port coated vspec.
Which is my favorite engine!

Man I cant wait. I have been running V Spec's in one form or another since the release of the Vo1 with the boost pump. Remember those? I'm sure this new engine is going to be the ticket for us OS guys...

Well once Ive killed off my old Speed Ill prob go for either this or a Reedy. But I like OS engines so I hope this will be in the same line.
