I also heard the similar rumar..........from source in HK....
Hk Serpent dealer addressed (not confirmed by Serpent) they will have a replacment CONROD and Crankshaft for the existing ZX21 owner..........but not a full replacement engine.
But again.....that is not confirmed by Serpent....but from other thread (I think I saw that from the ENGINE thread here in Rctech), some from Serpent saying they will have announcment later this week or next week....

I JUST TALKED TO DOUG AT SERPENT USA,I HAVE ONE OF THE FIRST ZX.21 ENGINES SO I NEED TO SEND MINE BACK.IT APPEARS THAT THE CRANKSHAFT IS BAD...THEY ARE GOING TO REPLACE IT AND INSTALL IT .....THIS KIND OF STUFF MAKES ME KINDA NERVOUS ABOUT THESE ENGINES NOW....CHOCO
