Working on some new battery stuff possibly. Waiting to test some new stuff now from the factory.

On the Dyno every ORCA motor Ive tested has been better than the new EPIC stuff. Its still going to be hard to beat a D3.5 though for tracks that allow them. For those not allowing them the ORCA Is very good from early testing and feed back from a few guys that have bought them. Just waiting on ROAR to finalize the inspection of them before the big push starts with them.

Well the D3.5 I'm think isn't going to be ran at thunder (at least the batnatz anyways) so u think the orca will be approved before sept or they going to drag their feet ?
U going to come and show us the way around the track anytime soon? Lol

ROAR has had them for almost 3 weeks. So ORCA wont be dragging the feet on this one. Hopefully it gets done very soon this week.

If Dirla ever gets that ignorant layout pulled up and puts something worth running on I'll come run.

Once ROAR finishes up the inspection and legalization of the ORCA line of motors I would say the ORCA hands down. On the dyno it is better than any 21.5 I have tested....ever. Just waiting on ROAR to finish up before we start advertising just how good it is and pushing them out the door.

I have both ORCA and D3.5 in stock in the 21.5 motors.

Thanks

Hi EA,

Do you anticipate the ORCA motors being approved in time for Vegas?

Chris,

Yes I do. I was told when we sent them in 3 weeks ago that it would be 2-3 weeks or so. They had a lot of motors in front of them. So I am hoping that ROAR and get the process done here very soon. Ive already shipped to shops and retailers so that part of it should be covered for the approval.

Thanks

EA What do you gear a 21.5 motor for a TC? Legal doesn't matter where I race.

Had the same question rolling around in my head. Also, will different rotors be available or possible to get different rotors in the motors for purchase?

Interested in one for 1/12 and touring, but need to know more about them. Hopefully they pass roar soon and someone can give feedback. Or anyone who has tested so far could give some feedback on either of these. Looking for 17.5 touring and 17.5 or 13.5 for 1/12.

Ed,

I have gone through several of the motors that I have gotten in to check them out and so far they have been really good. I havent decided if I am going to check every thing yet or not. Their quality is so good it almost doesnt need to be torn apart to inspect! LOL But that is still up in the air. I imagine I will have a dyno tuned version here on the next batch that comes in.

Honestly I dont know the answer to that. I would guess around a 3.50 to start maybe. But I have never ran 21.5.

The guys that have bought them and ran them say they are fast. Mostly its been on asphalt though. I know Mike Hanulec, Jason Schreffler and Ron Goetter have all ran them and said they were as fast or faster than anything they have ran.
