Yeah I've got the original, which I put the 3gear because I was running indoor carpet. But that track is closing down so now there are just two tracks nearby, both outdoor dirt, low to med grip. I'm thinking to put the 4 gear back in, put a ball diff, shocks on rear of tower and that should be a decent setup for low grip track.

It's difficult to get it to work. I have had good luck running my original 4 gear on medium grip but it requires the Smc brass block. Anything less than medium it very difficult to drive.

Kerby,

I'm placing an order for wheels and tires tonight and I'm picking up the SS RR Hanger so see how it compares to the brass block I'm running on the back of my YZ now. I currently have it zip tied ultra-securely right on top of the Aluminum RR hanger, but I think the SS is going to weigh a tad less so I will need the SS RF Hanger and see what yields.

Exotek Brass RF Hanger: https://www.amainhobbies.com/exotek-...xo1568/p484268

I can't stand the crude look the SMC block so that is not an option for me and the weight isn't in the ideal location for medium-loose outdoor dirt anyway.

I have switched over to the DT and really enjoy driving that. Other than being a tad on the light side it's a great buggy. I will be trying the exotek 24g block next weekend...should lock it in pretty good

Anyone try the Proline Predator body on the YZ-2 yet?

Are there any aftermarket battery braces out there that don't constantly pop off for the DT? I've only seen them for the regular YZ-2.

It doesn't fit the DT car, you have to mill it down a bit..

I'm currently using the steel one and it fits with 72/34 gearing. Most likely will leave that one in place.

Does anyone here run the carpet addition on dirt with success?

Have you kept the gear diff in it? What have you used to put weight and where?

I ordered the SS Rear hangers so I can get rid of my brass block I have on it currently. It souls end up weighing a touch more.

I run the ball diff in mine. I have pics posted a few dozen pages back. Let me look on photobucket.

Can't remember how much it weighs but it's almost double what the SS RR Hanger weighs.
