Great points
If you race on harder tracks or tracks that get dry then you may need the subcultures, however, If the track stays moist and has a little fluff to it then the Calibers would be better....Subcultures=hard-medium dry or wet...
Calibers=medium-loamy dry-wet, Ibeams medium-really loamy dry or wet...
You may also try Enduros if the conditions are harder like for the subcultures..

Would the AKA medium inserts be good inserts to run in the Caliber VTR M3 Truggy Tires?

Why not ask the PROS that run on the tracks you plan on running on one day. Just sayin

i ran only subcultures all last year on everything from loamy wet, loamy dry, packed wet, packed dry, muddy, and even indoor clay blue groove and never had a complaint one!!! only advice i can give, if your looking into them and run on a harder surface, mount them on larger diameter wheels to cut down on side wall deflection, other than that mount them on standard size wheels any you shouldn't have a problem!!!!

I havent tried j concepts on a 1/8 before, but I did run them on my sc and there very good. So I may try them out on my buggy soon. I mainly run AKA. I 90% of the time run cityblocks. But Im really starting to like the Impacts. I just dont have much luck with proline, The Calipers offer good traction, but they wear a little to fast for my liking.

You guys should really check out the new tires from Sweep Racing USA! The Exagon or Square Armor tread patterns work extremely well under all conditions and they wear better than ANY tires I've tried. I used to swear by AKAs until I tried these...now I run nothing else. Prices are very competitive also, so check them out at http://sweepracingusa.com
