My RB TM928 is very easy to tune. It has tons of power. Way more than any .21 I have had in a buggy. Unlimited trucks were in mind when the 528x and RB 928 were created. And there is not engine limit on Unlimited truck as of right now. Jammin won the roar nat with a 528 and Matt Gosh was running a .32 last time I saw his truck.

A modded P5 would be plenty, but if you can be smooth with your throttle finger, a 528XR is real nice. The downside is that it is harder on your clutch, and is a gas hog. A have a EB 528XR and love it.

What kind of pipe do you run on you 528xr? Anyone heard anything about that Collari .32? How is it?

I'm running a JP2 on my 528XR. I would stay away from the Collari .30 and .32. That carb is a piece of crap. If you can afford it, I would stay with a high end engine. It is worth every penny for all the reasons.

Thanks for the help. I think i'm going to go with the 528xr and the jp2 pipe. Does it matter whether or not you get the Novarossi, Rex, or Top version?

Doesn't matter which one. Just pick the head color you like the best.

Is 30% a must for this engine or is 20% ok? I run 20% now and keep up against all the others running 30%. I just wasn't sure whether this was necessary seeing as this is a pretty high end motor. Thanks for all the info, it has really been helpful.

I run 30% on my 528XR with the stock 6TC plug.

Anyone running the novarossi 9886 086 hard coated pipe? How is it compared to the jammin jp-2? It will be ran with a 528xr.

A novarossi 9886 is an excellent pipe. Should pull alittle harder everywhere but basically it is close to a JP2. The9886 is a gas hog for a pipe though.
I personally am running a O.S. 2050 on my .28. It smoothes out the power across the entire range, it makes excellent power and is better on gas mileage.

The 086 is a high end pipe. JP1 being low, JP2 being in the middle, and 086 being high.

Jammin Jay was running a 528x with a JP2. Matt Gosh was running a Collari .32 with a JP2.

I hear the 528xr is a real gas hog. Would getting it modded help with the fuel effiency?
