Assuming you're going to run 2s in it? I like smc, promatch and protek. I've tried some others but always come back to those. You want something 7000 mah or larger if running a 4 pole motor. 2 pole motors you can go smaller.

I run spc racing batteries. Cheaper than most and work great.

Not roar approved though.

Anyone using M2C pistons?
Dumb question... they're tapered, do I install the taper up or down?
Thanks.

Also, if you have experience with these pistons what oils/ springs are you using?
Im running on a medium sized, kinda smooth, high bite 10th scale track, no big jumps.

Ok, Im in Concord Ca and will be racing at Delta RC in Antioch to start, was kinda planning on getting a HW sct pro esc and a Pro 4 HD 4300 motor but I better go out and talk to the vets at the track running scte's and see whats best for the track as well as what tires to run. Thanks for the help on batteries, there are so many and I learned not to trust promotional adds

Tires are up in the air right now since we're going outdoors on the new track next week. But going by the past couple years the track will be sugared so panther soft or super soft slicks, orange barcodes, or x2 proline have been good. It usually take a race day or two for the bite to come up so those might not work right away fyi.

Hobbywing 4700 or 4000 is a good choice too. I run the 4700 and it's a little smoother than the Tekin 4300 but they're all good motors.

M2c with taper holes down, 27.5/25 or 30/27.5 work well. Black or blue front springs, and orange or silver rear depending on the rest of the setup and your driving style.

5/7/5 or 7/7/5. 7 in the front tends to dull the steering and works great when bite comes up or on tracks with a lot of sweeping turns. Looking at the pics of the layout online I would go with 5k.

Thank you sir, i'm running the Dunford High Bite setup, not the sugar track one.
I used these before and for whatever reason took them out a while back to see if I could notice a difference... Problem is I forgot I changed them and my racing has been few and far between, so I never got a real comparison. I do remember liking them when I installed them before, so I'm going back to it.
Thanks again

I would save the motor money and get the RX8 esc and then get the HW 4000 kv motor for $89 by far imo the best usable power band of all the 4 ploe motors, the 4300 hd to me was just a waste of unusable power and cost! Cheers!

No prob. When you come out to delta stop by and say hi. We'll get you dialed in if you're having problems. Ask for KP.

No worries Kev I did the same thing. I ran them last year and just went back to them and couldn't remember what oil I used. I remembered it was close to the #3 piston setup. They have a lot of pack so should be good for your track.
