Big thanks to Chad (rpmhobbies) for setting this series up! Chad was the driving force behind getting it organized! So the 1st round is coming up fast! March 22nd at the world famous Silver Dollar Raceway in Chico, Ca! At their last club race at this track back in January they had 95 entries, so I am sure that the turnout will be great so be there guys! It's going to be a blast! Remember, out of towners can drive down on Friday and practice all day and then stay on Sunday and continue to practice! So it's worth your drive if you are coming from out of town!

That's right! The series opener is Sat March 22nd at the world famous Silver Dollar Raceway in Chico, Ca! Check out some race video from the last few club races at Silver Dollar here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...laUw3uCVqKjgZu
The track is fast, flowing and Kevin Jelich always designs some super great jump features! Hopefully a lot of you guys make it down! Fast pro racers such as Chad Bradley, Phillip Atondo, Austin Blair, Curtis Door and others frequent this track so there is likely to be some good competition!

It sounds like over 100 confirmed entries on the facebook page at this point! It's going to be an amazing day for 1/8 nitro and electric! I am guessing around 150 entries! 30+ ebuggies? Yeah baby!

Some last minute information for those of you who are attending the NCSOS series round #1 at Silver Dollar Raceway in Chico this weekend. First off, I highly recommend that everyone bring their normal pit gear. Silver Dollar has 48 covered pit spaces, but all of those spaces will be taken up quickly as it appears that the turnout is going to be very high. So bring your pit tables, extension cords, chairs, and ez-ups just in case.
The gates open at 8am on Saturday morning. The covered pit tables will be first come first serve. The races will start at 11am. Reminder, they use a spec tire down there. The proline x2 blockade. This tire is required for all classes except novice. If you do not already have a set, then you will be able to purchase the tire at the Amain Hobbies Retail store which is just a few blocks away from the track and Ruben says that the tire is a few dollars less at the retail store than the online list price.
For those of you who are going down on Friday to get some early practice in, the gates will open Friday at 10am, and the track will be open for practice until 8:45pm. Ruben says there is no saving of the covered pit tables. So once again, I recommend everyone bring their normal pit gear.
The entry fees are $25 for the 1st class, $15 for your 2nd class, and $10 for your 3rd class if you are crazy enough to run that many rigs!
If you have any questions, just shoot Ruben an email at [email protected]. For those of you who have never been to Silver Dollar, it is a real treat. See you all there!

Only 2 days till race day. Here's your first glimpse of the revised layout for this weekend, http://bit.ly/NxopdH. The "Track Master" Kevin Jelich and his assisitant "The Madman" Mike Maxwell are still hard at work with final track prep for this weekend. Don't miss out on Race #1 of the N.C.S.O.S. series, this is going to be EPIC!!!
