Antisquat only refers to the rear of the car.

mate i have tried anti squat and kick up and found no difference in steering although i was having a problem with the rear of the car wanting to step out a little drift style it didnt make the car uncontrollable however it did slow lap times and feeling. since i have removed the anti squat shims and the car seemed to react better... does kick up affect castor?

Yes.... kickup will also effect castor. I noticed that with Antisquat, that with onpower steering, it was significantly better. Maybe there is something else on your setup stopping you from getting more, or something like that. It's hard to say without knowing all of your other settings.

In my experience anti-squat only works to increase on-throttle steering (corner-exit steering). And it should not be the first one to try to get more on-throttle steering. First one for me is always front suspension down-travel. If you already reduce front suspension down-travel to 0 and still cant get enough on-throttle steering, it comes to (in order) roll center, anti-squat, and damper location.

There are several way to measure how low your suspension can go.

One with down-stop. You measure the heigh between bottom of chassis and bottom of hub carrier, no tires.

One is down-travel. Put the tires on, measure static ride height. Than rise the car and measure the height where your tire about to left ground. The different between two height is your down-travel, which means how low your suspension can travel from static position.

I mainly use down-travel to document my setting because I found it's easier to tell/determine weight transfer between front and rear than down-stop. But that's just for me...

I have almost always ran 1mm of rear kick-up. As for rollcenter, I won the 1st round of the club challenge last weekend. The car had standard suspension with foamies. 3mm under both rear blocks and 1.5mm under both front blocks. Rear upper arm was 2mm down on flat, front was flat. I used fron shock tower leaned over 1 step, and rear uses custom hole (between top mount and body post). No front stabiliser and soft rear. 3 degrees camber all round. 3 degrees rear toe in and 2 degrees front toe in.

Very easy to driver fast with 37r's on the back and 35f on the front. Outdoor "green" netball courts.

To be totally honest... I'm quite happy with the LW suspension on my 415 and lets face it... if it was a step up then all the TRF guys would be using it. Rheinard still uses the std arms like at the carpet LRP Masters event. It looks funky... but I think a lil too expensive at the moment for me. Got other things to spend money on... like tyres.
Marc is using the standard arms on carpet as it just better there and the LW outdoors. But this is here with rubber tires .
