Please kindly post any questions regarding above mentioned subject here ....

SERPENT ASIA CHALLENGE 2004

Location : “SRINAKARIN TRACK”
Srinakarin Rd., Bangkok. THAILAND.

Serpent 1/8 Gas Car

Srinakarin track was the first permanent RC track built in Thailand and had undergone several renovations the past years. It's now the 'home track' of the popular Vataniyapramote brothers and it's the nearest (less than 2km) RC track to the home of current ISTC World Champion.

Hope to see you all there .........

Do you know what gearings are used on the 705 for this track and what tires diameters and shore? What brands of tires are used over there and what is available?

If you are running other cars, can you tell what gearings you run on that car for that track and the tire diameters? Thanks.

Also, some sketch and dimensions of the track layout would be helpful.

most racers use the standard pinions n spurs coming from the 705 kit. A few might change the second spur one tooth smaller.
GRP derivatives (Ellegi, Fast, Powers etc.) are very popular and available from the on site shop. 42 and 40 shore are very popular. Other tires such as Kawahara, Yokomo etc. also work well. As for diameter, it would depend on the duration of the finals.

I am not sure about other brands as there are so many others. But this meeting is only for Serpent cars.

Sketch and layout ....we'll ask the organizer to post them here

InitialD, at this moment I have no idea about other Serpent drivers coming from Holland. But a lot of positive response and supports from top Serpent drivers in Hong Kong, Singapore, S. Korea etc. Mind you, this is only the first day that this information was distributed ...
Rumours has it that Surikarn was considering to participate ...
