Default 26MHz

I got a set of Helios on 26Mhz. Can I use 27Mhz receivers and crystals? Will they work? Thanks in advance.

Default Helios compatibility with Spektrum???

Interested in now trying a Helios with a Spektrum and just want more convincing that it is good. I currently have a 3PK spektrum and needs something different. Is it worth having the wheel extension aswell.

Can anyone post pics of their Helios with Spektrum (front & back)

if you are comfortable with the 3pk, then you may not need the wheel extension. the extension give you the chance to move the wheel out from the radio. it does drop it down, just slightly.

I've also had some problems getting the extension kit (for the helios).
I had to wait 3 months, before it got to my LHS!
It had to come all the way from Japan, it seemed they ran out of stock at the factory somehow.
I guess that explains why they are/where so hard to get.

I got my drop down wheel off ebay which was from rcmart.com so either of those will work. I think it took two weeks to get it but I love the drop down....feels better to me....

Hello

I bought a battery pack for my helios and i'm unsure about the connector : power on doesn't work with the pack. It has a servo type connector, with 2 wires.
I wonder where should the red & black pins be connected on the 3 pins connector of the Helios ?
I tried black on bottom & red in center, when the TX is posed screen on top.

Kind Regards
Charles

charlies... is your battery pack using a "red" connector" or the "white" connector that comes with esc's and servos? the battery pack i purchased from Ko has the red connector. it has a small tab which makes connecting much easier.

charles,

i had the same problem when i bought a non-ko propo battery pack. no matter which way i plugged it in, the transmitter would not turn on. however, the transmitter worked fine with the battery tray.

i took it back to the shop, and they opened up the transmitter. apparently, the plugs (internally) were reversed. i just re-wired my battery pack. now if someone else tries to use it, the plugs are revesed and won't work. my transmitter now works fine with either the battery tray or my battery pack.

good luck.

funny thing, i just did the same thing. the positive is toward the back of the transmitter and the black is the center post. nothing on the front post. this is even different then a receiver pack where the red is in the center.
