Does it make a difference? I have a mid-range Hitec I can use instead, but I have to get a new case for it. I shaved off the "ears" to get it into my XX buggy.

I have friends with R-40s that use standard servos tha come with the radios and they have no complaints, so I guess having a digital servos makes my car react faster and more accurately to the trim area... Maybe somebody else has something more to add???

Pegasus and Elite sell servo cases for HiTec servos. Check them out first. For throttle, I just use the cheapest, plastic gear, Airtronics servo. It's only $17 at Revelation Raceway. And the reason to use the cheap standard servo is to save weight, and save your battery power, especially if you are using 2x3 AAA size battery pack (600 mAh).
