Doh, my bad. This is the setup I put on:

Crap, I probably should have used the newer one. I guess when i was looking for your setups I just looked in the featured section. So, you'll have to recall back to your Novak setup ;> As you mention, the ackermann is way different, and you went to the traditional springs in the newer one.
I was on Jaco double pinks, Niftech, full rear sauce, inner half sauce, maybe 55.5mm by the end (I used one set all weekend).

Adam now we are on the same page Try that ackerman and I think you will like it better..Just to clear things up you want your post to be in the back position and 1 notch showing on the servo saver....You will be able to sauce more with that...The car stays flat with that ackerman...Try that and let me know ....Thanks Drew

I believe all you need is the spacers and your good. The steering post is the same and so is the center post...What kind of pack is it...With my SMC 5200 it will not fit with the spacers but I run a Hyperdrive lipo try under the batt for weight..Without the tray it will fit...Hope that helps...Thanks Drew

drew, does the hyperdrive plate differ that much from the ppd plate as far as weight or height? i'm running the new smc 5200 with a ppd and have enough clearance. the reason i ask is that in order to get the balance on my 009, i have in the neighborhood of 56g of weight on the side of the battery as well as around 56g total (14g each corner) on each of the open corners of the chassis to make 1500g.
i did change to carpet tape to attach the plate to the battery instead of standard servo type tape.

Dondor, Yes I believe its different..I never had a ppd plate so I don't know what it weighs..The plate I have been running weighs about 100 grams...I think its a little thicker then the ppd...The batt is really close to fit with the plate I just don't want to force it...I like running the batt at an angle ..I feel that with it off the side in the back it helps balance the car better ...Because its hanging off where the motor is hanging off...If that makes sense....

why is xray making ballcups?
#899
Xray states it keeps dust out of the pivot area aka the cup.

I wouldn't get the closed end ball cups. No where in the ad does it say they are optimized.....
