At the Euros in Lostallo in 2007, the Picco based engines were the only ones to make 5 minutes on a tank of fuel....

I am sure they will be testing this out before the worlds

CRF is Team Orion's proprietary Swiss technology and this is one that we like most because we believe it brings advantages over regular technology and we will keep pushing and developing the CRF technology in the future.

Adrien Bertin the Team Orion nitro engine R&D manager, worked for several years at Sirio and was also developing products there. The Alpha line using standard engine technology, can be considered as the finalization of his previous projects,

CRF = high quality engines using unique CRF technology
Alpha = high quality engines using standard technology with competitive pricing.

Nice commercial talk....
Meanwhile there is not much left of the original CRF design and the engines do not have any advantages above others with the several big events these engines were used. Meanwhile the Sirio engines were always the engines to beat so fo me it is still a very interesting question which engine they gonna use with upcomming events.
