Default 086 OR JP3

Hey guys,

I am new (nube) and am building a Mugen MBXT truggy, the engine wll be a Nova Rossi R21BF 3 port.

Does anyone know if the Jammin JP3 pipe will work well on the engine? I like the tab on the exhaust outlet.

I know the 086 pipe will work on this, but it doesn't have the little tab welded to the pipe outlet tip.

thanks
Wayne

I ran my 21BF in a buggy with the JP3 and it ran great. I didn't however try it with an 086 so I can't comment there.

I recommend the Thunder Tiger #9796 3-chamber long pipe. Maifield and Saxton use it in truggy and buggy.........so have Mike Truhe and Jared Tebo at Nitro Challenge and Silver State.

Check out the Dynamite 086 or 053 pipes. Hard anodized, stinger gusset, nice header...but most importantly, CHEAP!

I know on an axial 28 and a hyper 21 race the 086 outperforms the jp3 on top end power and pull off the midrange

thanks for all the info!!

I'll go for the jp3, I can always try an 86 of the thunder tiger.

I'm sure my driving will have more to do with how i finish than my pipe.

I'm running the same combo in my XB8 and I really like it. Good power and good mileage, seems to last almost 8 minutes.

I get about 8 to 9 minutes with my buggy and OS Max V-Spec/086 with the red venturi.

I get about 11 to 12 minutes with my truggy and LRP .28 Spec3/JP-2 with the 9.5mm venturi.

I use the same in buggy...great pipe, and I believe it's pretty cheap to buy too! I think it's only like $45-50 at A main hobbies with the manifold.
